TRIBE Martial Arts Foundation is South African non profit organisation. Established in 2019, our programmes are designed to break the cycle of gender-based violence (GBV), youth unemployment, and lack of educational opportunity by creating safe spaces where participants build confidence, resilience, and real-world skills ensuring that children and mothers have access to structured physical and emotional empowerment.

What we do

By combining self-defence training, GBV response initiatives, and youth development programmes, TRIBE Martial Arts Foundation creates lasting social impact, fostering safer communities and stronger individuals.

EMPOWERMENT AND EDUCATION

“Our vision is to break cycles of violence and inequality by equipping women and youth with the skills, confidence, and education to build a brighter future. Through martial arts and learning, we are not just teaching self-defence, we are creating leaders, role models, and empowered communities for generations to come.” — Richard Quan and Norman Wessels
